Harry Potter Times Tables

For the last week we have been working on a Harry Potter work sheet. We had different buses we could take. Bus A, Bus B and Bus C. I found it easy to get the right bus. I found it hard to right it down. Here is my sheet and work....

Factors

For the last couple days in math we have been given a sheet about factors. If you don't know what a factor is its basically is a multiple of a number so if you take the number 12 for example. You can half it and you get 6 half again you 3 and 3 is a multiple of 12 because if you skip count in 2's 2,4,6,8,10,12. If this did not make sense search it up.

I found it easy to get the hang of factors are.
I found it hard to understand some of the questions we had to solve.

On Thursday I started making a "fake dream destination" I would like to go to. I would like to go to Scotland because I am from Scotland and would like to visit one day. Kennings

Today we learn't about kennings. Kennings is a poem that describe a thing,human or animals. You start your sentence with an A then add things to describe your thing. As a class we did a pig "A mud lover and A stink maker" Here is mine

Surfing Friday

Last Friday year 5 and 6's went surfing it was AMAZING. It was a long trip and we also had to be at school by 8:30 AM. First we meet everyone. Then they got us to learn about the surf and Boogie boards. They told us how to move and stand up. We also learnt about the waves and a ripe. You want to stay away from ripes and if you get into one put your hand up and swim to the side or never rocks.

They got the wet suits and gave us the ones they thorough fix. We changed and they got put into groups "Seals or Dolphins" I got Seals. We went surfing first it was fun.

It was really fun I found it hard to stand up but was easy when I got standing up a lot. I found it easy to boogie board.

Have you try boogie board or surfing or both.

Teo Reo Maori (Where is .... )

Today in Teo  Maori, we had to do a work sheet. first we to learn different things in Maori. I will tell you the one words in Maori that was on the sheet we learnt. The phase was "Kei hea te" and "Kei hea a". I found it easy to write the sheet in. I found to hard to understand the words.
